We are a family-focused dental practice that provides excellence in comprehensive dental care while managing systemic medical conditions, oral health, and associated pathology in each patient.
We endeavour to treat patients as a whole person rather than focusing on a single tooth. Our team makes all the efforts to create a comfortable, and relaxed environment to reduce apprehension in every patient experience.
Our Philosophy
We believe in the use of well-researched methods and materials, preventative dentistry and the finest technicians in the country for the long-term success of our treatment plans.
Our aim is that all the patients should be well informed of all reasonably possible treatment options, their associated advantages, disadvantages and potential complications, along with the time frame to complete the treatment and associated costs and proper follow-up care. In cases where the dental treatment is beyond our scope of management, we can facilitate referral to any alternative dental specialist in our area.
We constantly try to improve our patients' well-being and quality of life by continually educating our entire dental team. The greatest achievement for us as a team would be to see our patients able to chew efficiently, speak normally and smile confidently again.

Dr. Helen Stehbens

Dr. Helen is an English born, New Zealand trained dentist. After moving to Invercargill in the 1970's, she formally trained as a dentist at Otago University. After graduating in 1987, she has practiced in communities all over the North Island including Whangarei, Ruakaka, Auckland, Pukekohe, Tuakau and now Pokeno.
She has a great interest in fitness, nutrition and holistic health and loves anything that involves using her hands! (These include but are not limited to sewing, knitting and the odd spot of boogie boarding!) Overall, she has a passion for helping her patients achieve their goals for a healthy, functional mouth and beautiful smile, and enjoys serving the Pokeno community.
